Roxy is so Foxy

Roxy was born on the same day that Mom and Roland were, November 14th, 2001. She is part German Shepherd, and part Red Heeler. Roxy is our first dog, and our favorite dog! One of her favorite games to play is hide-and-seek. She is always the seeker, and she always wins. She also likes to bark and chase Roland and Jacob around the kitchen table, and then bite at their heels once they try to run away. Because she is part Heeler, nipping at heels comes naturally for her. One time, our family went camping somewhere in Utah where there was a large herd of cows that weren't suppose to be there. The owner told us that if we see any cows, to chase them off the land. So when we saw the cows, we thought it would be funny to tell Roxy to chase the cows away. We all laughed and told her to get the cows, but then our laughter stopped when she actually started doing it! We all watched in amazement when her herding instincts instantly kicked in as she rounded up the cows and chased them over the hill.

Roxy is also a very smart dog. She can tell when we are leaving on a trip, and will pout while we pack up. She also knows that she is not suppose to lay on beds or couches, but does anyway

when we are not home. We know this because we will see dog fur on the furniture when we come home. She also loves to go on walks, and is a very good protector. When we walk with Roxy, random people will tell us how pretty she is. Roxy's favorite play toy is Roland. She likes to chew on him. We also like to weird out people by taking Roxy and Roland to the park, and then have Roxy tackle Roland as he tries to run away. People always get scared for Roland, and then look at us because we are laughing at the whole thing. We all love Roxy, and she loves all of us, and that is why she is a part of the family... she just looks different!
